Watch Animals Play at brookfield zoo in Chicago, IL

Be enchanted by exotic creatures in their natural habitats at this excellent zoo, which is known for its extensive use of open-air, unbarred enclosures. Moats and ditches (not cages) separate animals and humans, creating a more authentic wildlife experience that makes the animals feel at home. Interactive animal encounters let you connect with waddling penguins, playful dolphins, and fuzzy alpacas, while learning more about the wildlife.
Start your journey through this 126-acre zoo by heading towards your favorite animals. Lions, tigers, bears - all the big beasts can be found at Brookfield Zoo. Travel through wildly diverse environments, from the African Savannah to the indoor rainforest of Tropic World. Track wolves in the Regenstein Woods and see kangaroos in the Australian Outback. Take a spin on the hand-carved wooden carousel and learn about conservation.
